The only side at home 3pm Saturday in the Tyneside area so hopefully a good push in the next 24 hours to get people to the ground. I think a crowd of around 800-1000 would be a great start from where we were last season and in my opinion without really hitting form yet. The changes made inside the concourse and the signage around the stadium actually makes it feel like our home now too so kudos to the club and council for getting that done.
Best second half ive seen all season and probably will see. Could of been 5 hitting the post and olley missing that open goal first half. Also had one of his worst games for us and he played in the number 10 roll which was surprising. 1150 attendance as well unbelievable great to see the public turning up- although i did hear a great number of the tickets used were the "free game" tickets for either this game or spenny
Very good result and pleased with the attendance and hope if we can keep on winning the crowd will stay strong. hope we have a few more games when Newcastle and Sunderland are away. |It is a good idea giving free tickets away as i know some one who has not been at a match for years come to previous game with a free ticket but come back to day as a paying supporter and if we can get one or two each game it will be worth it
Great performance, brilliant second half where we raised our game. Josh, JJ, Tear and Deverdics all immense, but huge credit to our back 5, who stood strong against a tide of corners and free kicks. Very impressed with Nicholson and Lees today!
We battled in a scrap first half then turned it on 3 very well worked goals and could've had more Was worried when we lost Oliver but hats off to the gaffer who has changed it putting Agnew in the holding role protecting the back four giving deverdics a change to run the show and it seems to be working Boston looked a decent and very physical side and will do well this season.they almost scored in 30 seconds from a free kick . Gregg missed a sitter but we managed to score 3 fantastically worked goals to blow Boston away Fair play to them they kept going though how they finished with 11 only the very weak ref could explain special mention to Josh who took so much stick but kept getting up and causing them bother Excellent displays from Josh brad nelson lees Nicholson tear jj in fact all played their part but my motm deverdics a 30 yd free kick that stung the keepers hands first half a great finish, 2 assists and was instrumental in all things good for us today We know getting Nicky playing he is far too good for this league and atm he looks up for it Lastly great crowd which is always good for the club's bank balance
1st appearance at the IS since the barrow game at the end of last season, not just the 3 points but me and my dad were impressed with the overall match day experience, so more professional than last season, well done to all involved
I love that the crowds are growing. The Farsley game gave us a huge kick up the arse. Something clicked and credit to Mike and the players. The community involvement is massive compared to previous years. It's the fans club and the lads at the top should also give themselves a huge pat on the back
Yesterday was superb. The crowd with only a handful of free tickets given out I’ve heard got behind the lads from the off and the atmosphere when those three goals went in was something we haven’t experienced for a while during a standard league game.
Defensively we look solid everyone know seems to know there jobs and we’ve got James who is looking comfortably one of the best keepers we’ve had in years and to be fair we’ve had some good ones.
Agnew suits the deeper role as he can just get stuck in and do the dirty work for the more forward players. Olley, Tear and especially Deverdics were fantastic on the ball interchanging passes and creating space.
Kayode is getting better each week and his physical strength and hold up play is top notch especially when you remember the lad isn’t even 20 yet.
Overall a superb day on and off the pitch for the club. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a somewhat surprising promotion push at the top.
Couldn't care if we finish with goals scored are 47 and against is 7. 36 wins 1 - 0 would do me for the rest of the season (Well you can dream).
Realistically I'd be happy if we can take 4 points from every 6 on offer between now and the end of the season that would equate to 72 more points and with 17 already secured I think 89 points would mean we don't need to worry about goal difference
