We need to get behind the lads as much as possible for the rest of the season, then see where we go from there. If we need to all get behind Redheugh or start again at the end of the season then I'm more than up for it but the lads playing for this club right now need our support.
Firstly we still have, at this moment in time, a very decent side and in Clarkie, somebody who has great potential as a manager. We have to get behind them whatever opinions of the ownership.its easier to find an escape strategy from a position of a strong team. I agree there needs to be a group formed but we need to realise the difficulty. Successful fans groups usually have some funding, a means of raising finance like a social club, expertise given for free (legal, medical, accountancy, building etc), and count on the support of the local community. In addition for a small group of fans, I cant believe the degree of in fighting and distrust-it would have to stop and trust those who step forward to a position of leading a battle. I hope we have all that but can anyone say for certain we do?Also I’m not blaming anyone for our current weakness as a group of fans, it goes back to the circumstances since 1961.
