I don't know who I blame more for this; the Bennetts, for selling the club to the new owners, whoever they are; or the new owners, whoever they are, for pushing not only Watson and Cummins to the door, but also Graham Wood, and several very loyal club volunteers!
We were warned but what could we do about it? Nothing. What can we do about it now? Nothing.
Exactly. No supporters club, trust or anything to save club and despite questionable current owners without them there would be no club at all. What would folk prefer. On a bright note club ain’t in a relegation battle would have been more doomed if they were.
As has been said we were warned, especially when some one of the stature of Graham Wood disassociated himself from the club some months ago. The current owners have not invested any real funds into the club which were necessary with any new takeover. Are we about to be stripped bare I wonder - supporters need to get an action group going to try and save us, please!
Maybe we should go and support nearest the clubs old home. Redheugh's seniors are in the Alliance... free entry. Perhaps starting from the bottom, acquiring the old land (given the council are not cutting the local pitches anymore) should be cheap.
